Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering is a relatively new stream of engineering that combines Mechanical, Electrical, and Software Engineering with a particular focus on robotics. I have been extremely successful in the program which I credit to my passion for the stream of engineering, my ability to work hard and consistent, and the relative ease to which I learn new subjects and skills.
My GPA is calculated based on a 4.3 scale. My equivalent GPA on a 4.0 scale is a 4.0 GPA. I have received either an A or an A+ in every course I have taken in university.
Starting in the fall of 2025, I will be a teaching assistant for second year Electric Circuits. I will be working in labs helping students complete their work.
As recognition of my high grades, I have received numerous scholarships from the university. I received the Victor Alfred Betts Admission Scholarship, the James Russell Papoe Entrance Scholarship, and the Sci' 45 Memorial Scholarship.
The following is not a comprehensive list of the courses I have taken- instead it is a small list of some classes that have taught me important engineering skills.
Mechatronics Design II: This is a course that gives hands on experience in robotics design through a course-long group project. I utilized Raspberry Pi's, LIDAR processing, and web design while developing leadership skills through working on a project-based team.
Engineering Graphics: This course teaches how to properly make engineering drawings both on paper and in CAD. My first experience with CAD software was learning SolidWorks in this class!
Fluid Mechanics: Fluid Mechanics is about how fluids move, transfer energy, and interact with their environment.
Calculus I/II and Intro to Differential Equations: These courses taught one and two dimensional calculus and solving various kinds of differential equation.
